A birthday at our house!!!

~ #1 at 6 days old ~

9 Years ago my Easter was interrupted - lets start on Saturday - I was 37 weeks pregnant with my first baby! (the one the ultrasound tech said we didn't WANT to know the sex of the baby SHE WAS WRONG but wouldn't tell us!) I was for the first time MISERABLE!! The next day was Sunday Easter Sunday of all the Sundays in the year. The day you have a new pretty spring dress with cute shoes......not me my feet were HUGE!!! "I'm not going, I have NOTHING to wear and I CAN'T wear shoes." I didn't know that was the first stage of labor for me =0) At 2:30 am I'm wet! Did my water break, did I.....? I yell for James I kid you not, "Yep it looks like your water broke I'm going back to bed call me if you need me" HELLO!!! We need to leave!! But somewhere around 5:30 I think we finally left. I really wasn't hurting at this point. Not sure if its a high tolerance of pain or what? When we get to the hospital they confirm it is "water" and get us set up in our room. Start pitocin (sp?) and we are on our way. A demeral shot later - I'm tired!! At 11 its time to push little one out!! "IT'S A BOY!!" My husbands first and oh so loving words, "I told you it was a boy!" But what a day!! Nothing like a new baby, a first baby.



Happy Birthday Little Man - who was NOT AT ALL happy that his birthday was not a "holiday" at PJ Academy!! It was an easy day though!!
