Animal Unit Study

This summer we are going to do a unit study on animals - although it will probably be on going for a while, because I don't think we could tackle all of them at once!!

Civil War Notebook

Right now we are studying the late 1800's, starting with the Underground Railroad, through the Civil War, the assassination of President Lincoln, up to the slaves being freed.

I LOVE Scholastic Books - and they have a "journey" throught the underground Railroad - that I wanted to share. http://teacher.scholastic.com/activities/bhistory/underground_railroad/index.htm

We are going to end our study with a visit to Springfield, Illinois.

Summer 2008 Unit Study......

.....The Human Body followed by the beginning of "the talk" urg, so not ready for this stage of raising children!!! =)

Going to steal borrow some ideas from here.

Followed by a trip to the Science Museum.
