2 Birthdays in the House!

Our oldest turned 13 and our youngest turned 6! Crazy. Crazy. Crazy.

Then it turns even crazier to think that when my husband was this age, we met. We met? How crazy to think that anyone who crosses my oldest's path could be "the one"......CRAZY! Luckily he isn't into girls yet. But I know it is just a matter of time.

6 yr old? Wow! She has come a long way in the 2.5 yrs since she came home. I went back and watched the video I made right after India......wow she has changed. Amazing!

These birthdays also fell in the month of our Vegan Diet. And we all survived. As did our extended family :) I went ahead and made all the food.....just seemed easier then trying to share with everyone we can eat this but not that. I made 4 dozen cupcakes last week lol! CRAZY! But they were so good and everyone loved them!!

Our Day in Chicago!

We went into the city for my Running Expo for the Hot Chocolate and decided since we were there we would hit a few stores that the kiddos would enjoy! Keep in mind this was a few months ago! We don't make it a habit to take the kids out in winter with out being bundled ;)


Well this was #4's Favorite!! lol!!

From #2 Kid: "Mom do you want me to pull the van for you?" which wouldn't be shocking IF he was 16, or 15 or maybe even 14....he's ELEVEN!!!!! WAY to young to be asking me that question!!!!!!

I am glad you suggested her second choice. She was actually given 3 choices. Tinkerbell. Princesses or the Penguins. Princess and Tinkerbell were crossed off the list pretty early. So I thought she'd just get the Penguins. Then she picks up WWF. I told her #4 We can't get naked men :)

#1: Hey Dad why don't we drink cows milk anymore?

Dad: Because Son we are not Baby Cows.

#1: Neither are we baby almonds.

Meet #1 :) He just recently turned 12. My first born. My sensitive child. My Mr Smarty Pants.
He's going through an awkward stage right now, that in between being a little kid and big kid.
He's a quiet behind the scenes kinda person. Loves to read and draw. More of a be by yourself or very small group to really come out of his shell, but an amazing kid none the less!
I can't wait to see this boy blossom into what God has for him!

Meet #2. He is the first born of the twins. He is funny and very hard working. I see more and more of his Dad in him everyday. Always wants to be doing a project. He is a out doors kinda guy, and struggling the most with the whole vegetarian thing lol!!
He has a heart of gold. He LOVES animals.
And is a boy to the core. He hates school and shopping ;)

Meet #3 :) She is my second born of the twins. Funny when we set out to have kids I always wanted boys. Always. I was a girl and knew how bad they were lol!!!
She has stolen my heart like only a little girl can. She is an amazing help around the house. A fantastic big sister. Couldn't ask for more! She is shy for sure, but becoming a more people person as she ages. She looks forward to being a wife/mother if that is what God has for her!

Little Peanut #4. She is a joy to be around. Funny and very outgoing. It has been a joy to watch her go from Orphan to Daughter these last 17 months! I can't begin to tell what a blessing she is.
She has done amazing and we see God's Hand all over her.

A Spontaneous Trip to the Zoo :)

Hubby has had the past few days off. Good for family Time. Bad for Momma's that have a tendency to worry about paychecks, money, the economy and where this remodel business is going ;)

Let's focus on the good.....God has ALWAYS provided for us and I don't think now is that time He will let us go....... so Wednesday morning in passing (10am) "Ahh we should have gotten up and gone to the zoo!" To which Hubby replied, "Let's Go"

So we packed up a lunch and headed out!! We pulled into the parking lot and there were 10 cars there!! NO LIE!!! We had the place to ourselves!!!! It was a wonderful day!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

Christmas Eve. We started a New Tradition for Christmas Eve.
We have always just let the kids open their New Jammies......ya know for Morning Pictures ;)
This year the kids have really gotten the true spirit of it all and asked
if they could exchange presents between each other.
So we let them open those on Christmas Eve along with Jammies.
Then we watched "G Force" and a nice early in bed night of 8:30.
And we still managed to be up till past Midnight!

Where have I been? Christmas Shopping :) Probably a bit too much LOL!!!! We are pretty even for the older 3 but poor #4.........I looked on eBay and nothing jump out to me for her. So I am going to hit Target for some "baby" things. She seems the most in to babies!
The boys have hit the Lego Jack Pot!! YEAH!!!! I found some great deals on eBay for them. One set that I got is now up to $365.........FOR LEGOS Ya'll. WOW I didn't pay 1/4 of that price :)
