A birthday in the house......

In March 1999, we were expecting our 2nd baby. We were beyond excited knowing that we would have our 2 kids so close in age. Our oldest was a month shy of turning 1 and we were already 16 (ish) weeks along. That would make them 16 months apart.
(March 99) So we had our first and figured our only ultrasound. The first thing out of the techs mouth, "You do know there is more then one right" I remember thinking there better only be 2 :)

That day we found out #1 was having a brother AND a sister :)

Fast fwd to 31 weeks and labor began. We went to our (small) hospital and they sent us to a bigger more equipped for preemies hospital. My first ride in an ambulance. PLEASE pull to the right for emergency vehicles!!! I can't tell you how many times they had to stop because people wouldn't get out of the way....sorry small tangent :)

By this point I was "done" being pregnant and wanted them here. But after visiting the preemie nursery I wanted them to stay in as long as they wanted (needed). We got a few shots of steroids for lung development. Labor seemed to go away, thank you Jesus.

@ 36 weeks we were at a "5" and ready to go. I spent a week in the hospital. By sitting my labor stopped and they didn't actually want the babies here just yet so we sat. And sat. And sat. August 11 1999, my Mom came to visit and I cried and cried telling her I had things to do at home #1 wouldn't even come to me with all the wires and what not. I WANTED to go home. She talked to the doc and nurses and suddenly tomorrow was good :)

ON August 12 @ 7:30 am they broke #2's water. One hour later there he was. I had an hour with him before labor began with #3 :) Then at 9:30 there she was a rose among the thorns :)

And now here they are 9 years later UGH time slow down!!!! Happy Birthday #2 and #3 :)
We love you!!!!!
