One of the amazing things (to me) about adoption, is the ability to makes friends with other adoptive parents. It doesn't matter the denomination, who they are voting for, where they live. You just click. Especially if their little girl is at the same orphanage as yours :)

Yesterday I spent 3 hours and 17 minutes talking to such a friend. She will travel the week before we do. We compared travel plans, things about the girls, papers needed for India, and getting the girls together with another little girl from their orphanage next spring. She is using a different agency so we also compared what each agency says you need :)

It was great!!! And EXACTLY what I needed yesterday!! A huge peace came over me about travel! Thank You Amy for taking time from your day to talk to me! We CAN do this!!!

I am so excited for you...I was in your shoes just 5 short years ago. Different country of course but the feelings are still the same. Good luck to you!!

I am glad you are feeling better about the travel. You will be just fine once you get your little bundle of energy. I can hardly wait to hear about your experiences.

Yes we can!! --BTW, different denomination, different part of the country--but likely voting for the same person :-)

Thanks so much for the chat--I got the flights booked today and the clouds are parting and the sun is shining again. The big picture is so overwhelming---one baby step and then another and then another--and then we'll have our girls!!
