More Yummy goodness to try!!

Homemade Pizza Pockets / Pizza Rolls

Here is the recipe for homemade pizza crust: (you can't go wrong with this)

2 pkgs of yeast

2 cups of warm water

5 cups of flour

4 tbspns of oil

2 tsp sugar

2 tsp salt

Dissolve yeast and stir in remaining ingredients, knead and rise.

Assembly:

I separate pizza dough into about 16 to 20 balls depending on the size you want to make them.

Flattened into circles with a rolling pin.

stuff your pizza pockets with your favorite pizza toppings. Fold over edges and press with a fork.

Bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes or until crust begins to brown.

Cool completely and place in freezer bag or cool and eat.

You can make these with or without the sauce in them. We have our sauce on the side and for lunches I place a small amount of sauce in them or I send a small container with sauce for dipping.

Now, when you are preparing your meats, anything that needs to be cooked like hamburger, sausage, etc.. cook and let grease drain very well.

I do mine this way:

Hamburger meat scrambled, sausage scrambled and drained, pepperoni chopped up, diced onions, diced peppers, mushrooms, or whatever you like on your pizza. Lots of cheese!!!

I tried these, but I had trouble getting mine to make a pocket inside. Maybe I rolled too thin? They were very yummy and very freezable which makes them a wonderful choice. Thanks for sharing!
